Types of Paper ShreddersThere are mainly three different types of paper shredders. The paper shredder that creates the most significant amount of trash is the Strip-cut shredder. When paper is inserted into the Strip-cut shredder then the paper is fed into the slot running in a continuous circular motion through knife blades, the final product is piled into the wastebasket. The Strip-cut shredder cuts the paper into long narrow strips; the strips may very in size depending on the amount of security needed for your office or home. Because the Strip-cut shedder requires the least amount of cutting it is able to shred a large amount of paper at once, it can shred more paper than any other machine out on the market. The Crosscut Shredder is a machine of higher security due to that fact that two blades are cutting each load of paper that enters into the machine. The Crosscut Shredder cuts the papers into an almost triangular shape, creating a lesser volume of trash and fewer trips out to the trash. The last type of paper shredder had many different names but it is the paper shredder with the highest amount of security available. The names include particle cut shredder, disintegrators, granulators, hammer mills and pulverizers. These machines cut the paper into very fine particles some turning the paper into mesh and other turning the paper into dust. These maximum-security machines have many rotating blades cutting through the paper making the paper so finely cut there is no way a crazed person can put your valuable information together again. These machines come highly recommended from the president if the documents being shredded need to be completely destroyed.
